Client Follow-Up Meeting Feedback | Starting in the summer of 2020, Student Affairs Planning, Assessment & Research (SAPAR) staff members began scheduling meetings with clients several weeks after assessment projects were completed. The purpose of these follow-up meetings was to find out what information from the report stood out to clients, how clients might use or share the results, or if there was any additional analysis Student Affairs Planning, Assessment & Research could provide. The department wanted to gather feedback from clients to know if these short follow-up meetings were beneficial or if the department could do something to make them more helpful. Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) Needs and Awareness - 2022 | Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) wanted to understand the level of awareness faculty, staff, and students have of the department’s services as well as their knowledge of suicide prevention training and My Student Support Program (My SSP) @ TAMU. Additionally, the department wanted to learn what services students thought were beneficial and discover any reservations students had about going to CAPS. Furthermore, CAPS wanted to know the comfort level faculty and staff had in referring students to the department. Counseling and Psychological Services Suicide Prevention Training - Jan 2021-Aug 2022 | Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) provides suicide awareness and prevention training workshops for students, faculty, and staff. CAPS wanted to know if participants were learning the information covered during the training and their comfort level in talking about suicide to others. Additionally, CAPS wanted to understand what participants thought about the training and how to improve it in the future. Customer Satisfaction Survey 2020-2021 | In August 2021, Division of Student Affairs (DSA) staff members who used the DSA Department of Information Technology (DoIT) services during the 2020-2021 academic year were surveyed regarding their overall satisfaction with DoIT services. This is the sixth time Student Life Studies has helped DoIT assess customer satisfaction of clients regarding the various services offered by DoIT. De-Stress Fest 2024 | Recreational Sports (Rec Sports) partnered with various offices across campus to host De-Stress Fest. This program was held on March 6, 2024, and the program was designed to teach participants the importance of self-care, participate in activities to lower stress, and learn about campus resources. Rec Sports had the following two outcomes for De-Stress Fest: 1. Participants will identify at least two resources that could help increase their wellness. Participants were assessed at the event after engaging in the activities to gauge what students learned about self-care and if the two outcomes were accomplished. Department of Recreational Sports 2021 High Impact Practice Participants | The Department of Recreational Sports (Rec Sports) wanted to capture and understand the impact of student leadership roles in the department. An electronic survey was sent to student employees in certain positions that have been identified as being High Impact Practice positions late the in spring 2021 semester. Disability Resources - Faculty Survey 2023 | Disability Resources gathers feedback from faculty members every few years to understand how they can best work with faculty to serve students. Diversity Climate Survey Fall 2021 | The Texas A&M Memorial Student Center (MSC) provides leadership development opportunities for students through its 18 programming committees and resource areas. MSC Diversity leadership wanted to assess how MSC committee members and executive teams perceived the diversity initiatives instituted toward creating an inclusive student union. Student Life Studies has worked with the MSC since 2011 to assess the diversity and inclusion efforts and its effects on its membership. Division of Student Affairs Staff Needs Assessment | The DSA Staff Wellbeing and Appreciate Committee (SWAC) wanted to understand staff members’ impressions, current behavior, and needs in the areas of appreciation and wellbeing. Additionally, the committee wanted to learn about staff members’ current work environment if that is on campus or in an alternative location due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This is the second time Student Life Studies has worked with the division committee to assess staff’s needs, although the focus for several areas changed. DSA Assessment Committee Member Survey - Spring 2023 | In the spring 2022 semester, Student Affairs Strategic Planning worked with graduate students in the EDAD 658 class to assess the members of the Division of Student Affairs (DSA) Assessment Committee to learn how the committee could be improved and to fulfill its mission. Student Affairs Strategic Planning implemented several recommendations provided by the graduate students throughout the academic year.
