| Individual Development Plan Career Exploration Series - Summer 2025 | The Individual Development Plan (IDP) Career Exploration series is an eight (8)-week flipped classroom career exploration program for masters’ and doctoral students aiming to provide career clarity and a structured framework toward successfully launching into a career at the conclusion of participants’ academic programs. Participants engage with program material through a series of videos that introduce applied and theoretical concepts, supplemental materials such as handouts, and then complete learning activities informed by the IDP series’ learning objectives to reinforce each session’s concepts. The Career Center reached out to Student Affairs Planning, Assessment & Research (SAPAR) to assist in assessing IDP series participants’ experiences through pre-series and post-series assessments. | Grad Camp Survey 2025 Summary Report | Graduate and Professional Student Government (GPSG) sponsored a virtual and in-person session of Grad Camp held on August 15th (virtual), and August 16th (in-person). GPSG has worked with Student Affairs Planning, Assessment & Research (SAPAR) since 2009 to assess the experiences of counselors and the campers who attend Grad Camp. | Campus Traditions - Fall 2025 | The Student Government Association (SGA) wanted to gather feedback from Texas A&M University students on the College Station campus to understand views on campus traditions. SGA was seeking feedback to advocate on behalf of students in working with the campus administration to improve or possibly make changes to the campus traditions. | Howdy Week Assessment 2025 | Howdy Week is a campus-wide collaboration to serve as Aggieland’s official welcome for all new and returning students. Howdy Week occurs the days before the start of the semester and was held on August 20-26, 2025. | OCSS Off Campus Carnival Fall 2025 | The Off Campus Student Services (OCSS) unit in Student Life hosted the Off Campus Student Carnival to connect students with community vendors and services. OCSS wanted to assess the students and vendors at the carnival to gauge their overall satisfaction with the event. | Club Crawl Fall 2025 | Formerly known as MSC Open House, Club Crawl was transformed into a more interactive and user-friendly recruitment experience. Club Crawl took place on August 31, 2025. Student attendees and student organizations were asked to evaluate their experiences and satisfaction with the revised event. | MSC Fall Leadership Conference 2025 | The 73rd annual Fall Leadership Conference (FLC) was held August 19 – 21, 2025 highlighting the theme: “Redefining Leadership, creating leaders from followers.” Student delegates were surveyed to gain insights into their engagement and learning outcomes during the conference. This assessment encompassed keynote presentations, active participation in structured group discussions, and exposure to networking activities with fellow student leaders, former students, faculty, and staff. | MSC WBAC Week 2025 | Memorial Student Center Carter G. Woodson Black Awareness Committee (MSC WBAC) hoped to evaluate participant satisfaction during three events held as part of MSC WBAC Week, September 10-13, 2025. These findings will inform future programming and event planning for the 2025-2026 academic year. | SGA Off-Campus Housing Parking - Fall 2025 | The Student Government Association (SGA) wanted to gather feedback from Texas A&M University students on the College Station campus who lived off-campus to understand parking concerns at off-campus housing areas. SGA was seeking feedback to help advocate on behalf of students with the Cities of College Station and Bryan, particularly in light of recent legislative changes. | DSA Student Employee Learning & Career-Readiness | The Committee on Student Learning in the Co-Curricular (CSL) is a Division of Student Affairs (DSA) committee at Texas A&M University. The CSL wanted to better understand the learning occurring through on-campus student employment within the DSA. In collaboration with Student Affairs Planning, Assessment & Research (SAPAR), the CSL sponsored a series of focus groups with student employees from across the Division of Student Affairs to understand their thoughts and feelings about how their roles as DSA employees relate to their academic pursuits, future careers, future lives, and their impact on the larger campus community. In addition, SAPAR developed a survey distributed to DSA student employees incorporating the National Association of Colleges & Employers (NACE®) Competency Assessment Tool – Student Version, for the students to self-report the career-readiness competencies they practiced during their work on campus. | Green Dot Overview and Training Assessment 2024-2025 | Through Student Life within the Division of Student Affairs, Green Dot provides two ways to educate interested people about bystander intervention strategies and violence prevention. Students, faculty, staff, and interested community members can either participate in an overview, which serves as an introduction to Green Dot concepts, or participate in the more in-depth intervention training. Participants of both groups were given a survey to assess the program and how it affected their understanding of related concepts. | STAND Up Overview and Training Assessment 2024-2025 | Substance Misuse and Violence Prevention (SMVP) within Student Life offers trainings and overviews that provide educational support for the STAND Up campaign on the Texas A&M University campus, inviting Aggies to Step In and Stand Up against sexual harassment and sexual violence. In 2024-2025, two separate programs were offered: the STAND Up Overview, an hour-long presentation intended to provide general information about the impacts of trauma related to experiencing power-based personal violence, and the STAND Up Training, a three-and-a-half-hour training designed to provide a more thorough understanding of the impacts of trauma related to experiencing power-based personal violence. | Demystifying Assessment Training Assessment | One goal for Student Affairs Planning, Assessment & Research (SAPAR) is to educate and develop staff within the Division of Student Affairs about assessment. To accomplish this goal, the department hosts training workshops on a variety of topics related to assessment. One training workshop the department held was Demystifying Assessment: Practical Tools for Everyday Use on September 11, 2025. This workshop started with breaking down some barriers about the common myths that keep staff back from doing assessment. After reframing some of the common mental roadblocks, the workshop covered how to plan and implement useful, doable assessments. The training ended with some common pitfalls to avoid and a review of some key takeaways. The learning outcomes for the workshop included: •	Staff will identify appropriate assessment methods to align with assessment goals. The presenters wanted to assess the participants’ learning at the workshop to understand if these intended learning outcomes were met. | DSA Leadership Academy Follow-Up - August 2025 | The Division of Student Affairs offered a week-long professional development opportunity for division staff members focusing on skills and competencies to help participants enhance their leadership and supervisory skills. The Leadership Academy was held May 12 – 16, 2025. Student Affairs Planning, Assessment & Research assisted the planners in gathering feedback from the participants at the end of the training to understand their experiences attending the Leadership Academy. Additionally, the planners wanted to assess the participants several months after the training to understand which aspects of the training had the most long-term impact. | Extended Orientation - Traditions Night Fall 2025 | The Department of Student Activities, Extended Orientation, in collaboration with Texas A&M Athletics, hosted Traditions Night for incoming Texas A&M student-athletes. Traditions Night was held on August 22, 2025. Student Affairs Planning, Assessment & Research collaborated with the Department of Student Activities to assess the participating students’ experiences with Traditions Night.
